Feeding wood to the campfire is one of the tiring tasks; if it goes out, you won’t survive. The bear will hunt you down, so keeping it alive matters the most. First, you have to level up the campfire to max Level 6 to unlock the whole map. Otherwise, you cannot explore anything. There is a trick in 99 Nights in the Forest that allows you to auto-refuel the campfire. That means it will never go off if you are on exploration. This guide will help you with the same.
99 Nights Survival Hack: Auto-Refuel Your Campfire!
You will need to unlock the Crafting Bench Tier 5 to use this trick. Here is how to do the same fast.
First, gather some wood and then unlock the Crafting Bench Tier 2. It requires just 1 Scrap and 5 Woods. You can check our guide on 99 Nights Unlimited Woods Cheat to get help with farming woods faster. The trick shared in this guide is highly effective and gives you tons of woods. Using the same, you can unlock the entire map in just 6 days.
To unlock Tier 3 of the Crafting bench, you will need 15 Scraps and 15 Woods. Tier 4 requires 30 Woods, 20 Scraps, and 2 Cultist Gems. This gem will be dropped by the cultist during a night raid. You can also attack their stronghold to get the same. That’s it, once you get the Tier 4 unlocked, you can craft an Oil Drill. To summarize the requirements, check the list below.
- Crafting Bench Tier 2 – 1 Scrap + 5 Woods.
- Crafting Bench Tier 3 – 15 Scrap + 15 Woods.
- Crafting Bench Tier 4 – 20 Scrap + 30 Woods + 2 Cultist Gem (red)
The Oil Drill requires 35 Scraps + 25 Woods + 1 Cultist Gem to craft. Once you’ve collected all the materials, head to Bench 4 and select the Oil Drill.
- Placement is critical: the drill regularly produces oil barrels, and if it’s placed too far away, you’ll need to manually carry the barrels to the campfire.
Even after fully upgrading the campfire, it will still require fuel. Without wood or oil, the fire will eventually extinguish. To avoid this, place the Oil Drill close to the campfire. This way, whenever the drill produces an oil barrel, it will automatically drop into the fire – keeping it burning brighter without the need to constantly add wood.
With the drill handling your campfire, your main task becomes defending the base from cultists. If cultists remain near the fire for too long, they will put it out, forcing you to re-ignite it. That’s how you can get rid of the task of putting wood in the campfire. You can then explore the entire map and survive for longer days.
